Community Gardens Greenhouse - Lowell, MA
The Community Gardens Greenhouse volunteers actively identify and recruit Lowell
residents to participate in landscape development projects.

We work closely with Lowell residents to identify what they envision for their gardens
while offering advice and guidance.  Ethnically inspired garden plantings is strongly
encouraged.  Garden design consultant
Susan Mitchell provides technical advice
concerning soil improvement, plant color, chemical use, seasons, form, climate zone
and planting practices.
We have participated in many local environmental initiatives that include:
Canalwaters Cleaners city-wide cleaning effort
The Merrimack Watershed Earth Day Cleanup
The Great American Cleanup
The Sow it Grows Urban K-9 education event at the Revolving Museum
