Community Gardens Greenhouse - Lowell, MA
Our Focus
The focus of the Community Gardens Greenhouse is on educational gardening
workshops that encourage collaboration, creativity and innovation while fostering
relationships that transcend ethnicity, character, class and age.
When people have an appreciation for the natural environment, they're more willing to
care for and value their property, parks in their neighborhoods, and require that they
be kept clean, safe and accessible.
Special workshops, seminars and community forums on horticultural topics of
specific issues will expose Lowell residents to the interconnection of horticulture,
agriculture, politics, and health.
Environmental Enhancement
This project accomplishes strategic horticultural, environmental enhancement and
community-building initiatives in our city and neighborhoods.
Community green-space development work is predicated on the understanding that
expression, mastery and communication through landscape arts powerful encode,
bring deeper meaning of experiences to the surface so ideas can be explored and
acted upon.
