Founded in 2004, the Community Gardens Greenhouse is a not-for profit initiative, the
beautification sub-committee of Keep Lowell Beautiful, growing communities from the
ground up.

The Plant a Row for the Hungry campaign gave away 400+ seed kits and 100+
plants in 2009. A total of 36 pounds of produce was donated to the Merrimack Valley
Food Bank and 50 pounds were grown by the Lowell Housing Gardeners and Lowell
Transitional Living Center Gardeners. Thank you to those who contributed. Check out
